One of the first true 3D fighting games, this took the next step to the Street Fighter genre. It was a favorite at the arcades at the time. Interesting is that instead of using super-fast moves and special magical attacks like fireballs, it’s about martial art styles of the characters.
On RetroAchievements, you can play the 32X version of Virua Fighter or the Saturn version of Virtua Fighter Remix for achievements using the emulator RetroArch. Another interesting port of the original arcade game is the remake Virtua Fighter: 10th Aniversary Edition, which is included in Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. This port has better graphics but isn’t true to the original in that it has move sets from later Virtua Fighter, so it isn’t quite the same.
