William Gibson was one of the first cyberpunk authors, and showed that there was demand for this thing called cyberpunk. After him there could be a market for Shadowrun and Cyberpunk tabletop RPG games, as well as their video games. Neuromancer is somehow both on the list of 1001 Books You Must Read and 1001 Video Games You Must Play, which *must* be a mistake somehow, because the only other titles that applies to is The Hobbit and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I have read the Neuromancer book, but not played the video game. While you can probably get the book from a local library, the video game might be tough. Fortunately you can play it through the browser from Internet Archive.
