A few years after Space Invaders, Namco made this slide-and-shoot game with real colors and a space background, a precursor to the universally acclaimed Galaga. The 100 Greatest Console Video Games 1977-1987 claims the ColecoVision port is the best, and claims it was the first arcade port that was near perfect. If you want to play for retroachievements, as of this writing, Namco Museum 64 is the best way to play Galaxian for retroachievements. The NES port of Galaxian is very satisfying but it only came out in Japan. You can easily get it in new collection Namco Museum Archives Vol 1 however
